Halloween 2019 | bloody & sparkly

According to the Ojibwa story, a mystical and maternal “Spider Woman” served as the spiritual protector for the tribe, especially for young children, kids and babies. As the Ojibwe people continued to grow and spread out across the land, The Spider Woman found it difficult to continue to protect and watch over all the members of the tribe as they migrated farther and farther away. This is why she created the first dreamcatcher.

Project #1: two sided spooky cat window decor

you will need:

2 glowing sticks, a big piece of black fabric, tapes, glue, and glitter of your choice.

steps:

• draw the face of a cat on the black fabric then cut it out

• cute out 6 long skinny rectangular pieces from the fabric to make whiskers

for the indoor side:

• use the glue as the drawing pen to indicate cat’s eyes, ears, and mustache

• dashed the glitter on top of the glue

for the outdoor site:

• tape the glowing sticks to the face as cat’s eyes

Project #2: outdoor/yard decor

you will need:

scrap wood pieces, a hammer, nails, canvas

steps:

• use scrap wood pieces to make the cat frame

• torn the canvas into long strips

• wrap the cat frame with the torn canvas.

• drew eyes to the cat face (optional)
